What we use to have faith in such times, and not fear, are standards found in the scriptures, Preach My Gospel handbook, and in the missionary handbook.
Our Jewish Brothers in medieval times, "in such times of serious danger or fear the Thora, which is otherwise, to remain in the house of instruction, according to ancient Jewish usage, is carried through the streets of the town threatened with destruction so that fear may come to an end". Our PMG says on page 17, "Study is an act of faith..." Live the commandments diligently, remember, you're not alone [D&C 84:88]. The answer of prayers come usually as we begin to act, not while we are praying.
